How many players can play together?

The announced player count is one to four. You can enter alone, or team up with one to three friends. The official description says larger groups can cover more ground, while still facing the risks of coordinating inside the factory.

This is cooperative survival horror. It is different from the six-survivor-versus-one-monster structure described on the PROJECT: PLAYTIME comparison page.

Can you play solo?

Yes. The developer FAQ explicitly says the game can be experienced by yourself. That confirms a solo option, but it does not answer how difficulty, objectives, resources or enemy behavior scale for one player. Those details require the beta or a later official explanation.

Is offline play confirmed?

No. “Can be played solo” and “works without an internet connection” are different claims. The Steam listing describes online co-op but does not establish an offline mode. Until the developer confirms it or the released build can be tested, assume solo support without claiming offline support.

How does proximity chat work?

The FAQ describes voice volume changing with distance: nearby teammates are easier to hear, and voices become harder to hear as players move farther apart. The store presents proximity voice chat as part of the co-op experience.

Exact range, walls, audio devices, push-to-talk options and whether enemies react to player voices are not confirmed in the checked sources.

Do you need a microphone?

No. Mob Entertainment says a microphone is not required, while recommending voice communication for the intended experience. The same FAQ says there is no in-game chat in response to a text-chat question. In context, that means no confirmed text-chat feature; it does not contradict the separately confirmed proximity voice chat.

What is known about invites and matchmaking?

The current public material does not show the final invite menu, public matchmaking flow, lobby privacy controls or reconnect behavior. This page will not invent a step-by-step lobby guide before those screens can be observed. For access timing, use the playtest page; for supported hardware, use the PC requirements and platform status.
